Soulful Sketchbook

Sometimes my sketchbooks look outwards and capture the world around me. Sometimes they look inwards and I call these my 'soulscapes'. They are usually inspired by nature but in a way that connects to the symbolism of what is around us, birds, journeying and ideas of connection through tapping in to nature's beat - I use moon, stars, sun, trees to express ideas and affirmations. I combine words and pictures and often work with a naive, playful style.

In this short online course, I take you through the steps I use to work intuitively and create a mixed-media soulful sketchbook with paint, pen, and collage. Find hope and joy in your creative practice and create with your authentic voice.

Let me introduce you to the ideas of connecting art and soul and creating in a way that is intuitive and tells a story. For beginners and those wanting to refresh their practice.

"I found the short, explanatory videos very helpful and examples of your own work were very inspiring. It was nice to see the work of other creatives on the Facebook page too. I also thought it was excellent value for money."

"I love the topics you covered, and how you presented it. I feel I can freely personalize each sketchbook according to the seasons, theme...or no theme at all! Some of my favorite sessions were: Preparing the pages; Finding motifs that related to me; Going through our precious sketchbooks and Getting started... This is so hard when one is a perfectionist so this is therapy for me too!!!"
